The god awoke in a warm bed, wearing a warm sleeping gown, under a warm blanket. He sat up gingerly and opened his dazzling azure eyes. He saw a cute young girl sitting at a table writing a letter of some sort, a handsome young man stoking the fire, and an old woman was fixing some tea. The god coughed and then groaned, which caught the attention of the old woman. "I see you're awake." she said with a gentle smile. "For a while, we didn't think you were going to wake up." The lonely god sat on a green, grassy hill and sighed to himself. He had been alone for what seemed like eons, and he was getting quite forlorn. He sighed again and brought his knee to his chest. He had been cast from the heavens because he had fallen in love with a human. But what was the worst was it was a human male. It was considered an ultimate sin for a god to fall in love with a lowly human, especially with one of his own gender.

Ah, Halloween. The one time of year where it's perfectly acceptable to allow yor kids to dress up in odd ways and accept candy from strangers. It's a strange concept if you really think about it, 362 days of the year we tell children "Don't take candy from strangers." But on Halloween, that little nugget of advice goes out the window.
